Nollywood actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, has shared a video from his hospital bed where he opened up about his ailing health.
Mr. Ibu Speaks On His Ailing Health
In a video shared on Instagram, the actor’s wife, Stella Maris, could be seen with her husband who has been down with an undisclosed ailment that made him take a break from acting.
Mr. Ibu, who was able to say a few words, stated he is fine and not in any critical conditions as widely speculated, adding that he can now walk but can’t run just yet.
“I no dey anywhere to beg people for money, I’m not as critical as they are talking now…I can walk now, just that I cannot run, please,” Mr Ibu said in part.
In her own part, Stella Maris warned the public that the comedian’s Instagram account has been hacked and is being used to extort money from celebrities.
She said the husband has also lost his bank account details, adding that anyone who wishes to offer help to the ailing actor should contact her or come to the Kidney hospital in Abuja.
“His Instagram account has been hacked and anybody using that account to collect money, you people should stop it, its not good. Any good person or well wishers that wants to help him should come to the hospital,” Stella Maris partly said.
The actor’s wife added that Nigerians should pray for her husband, who is still in the hospital, and irrespective of their situation, God is the greatest in everything.
Mr Ibu, who was looking visibly emaciated, teased his fans saying: “Don’t worry, if I want to die, I’ll let you know since you’re all interested.”
