Nigeria’s president-elect, Bola Tinubu has visited the Oba of Lagos, Rilwanu Akiolu, at his palace in Iga-Iduganran, Lagos State.
Bola Tinubu visited the Oba on Sunday, where he also presented his Certificate of Return to the king.
During the visit, he promised not to disappoint Nigerians.
The former Lagos state governor likened the primaries and election he went through to a World Cup tournament while thanking God and the people for his eventual victory.
He said his message was one of gratitude, adding, however, that he would work assiduously for Nigeria from the get-go and would not disappoint the people.
He was received at the airport by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Chief of Staff, Tayo Ayinde; former Lagos Deputy Governor, Femi Pedro; veteran politician Senator Musiliu Obanikoro; former Commissioner for Environment in Lagos, Muiz Banire and Woman Leader in the state, Jumoke Okoya-Thomas.

In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that the Bauchi state police command has killed two suspected kidnappers during a gun battle in Ningi Local Government Area of the state.
This was disclosed in a statement made available to journalists on Sunday by the Spokesman of the command, Ahmed Wakil.
Wakil said the suspected kidnappers stormed the house of one Alhaji Abdulhamid Muhammad at Rafin Cora in Ningi LGA and tried to abduct his 28-year-old son.
