Veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie has reacted to the death of his late grandson, Kambilinachukwu Edochie.
Edochie hailed the qualities of Kambilinachukwu and said he was accomplished even at a young age.
Kanyi Daily reported that Kambilinachukwu, who was the son of Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, died on Thursday at the age of 16.
According to Pete Edochie in an interview with Vanguard, the deceased was brilliant and talented.
“Kambilinachukwu is a very quiet, brilliant, and talented child. He’s not somebody you can ride easily. He doesn’t get angry no matter the situation.
“He may change his composure, but he was definitely a very unusual person in so many respects.
“He was so accomplished. I always tell my son that I don’t like people excelling like this in anything they are involved in. Experience has taught me that such people don’t last long,”.
The veteran movie star explained that the deceased developed seizure after he fell while playing football with his schoolmates.
Kambilichukwu was rushed to the Mother and Child Hospital, Lagos, where he died hours later.
The death of Kambilichukwu comes two months after Yul Edochie and his first wife May, celebrated him as he turned 16; showering encomiums and blessings on him.
“My first son just turned 16. Happy birthday to you Kambi Leo Yul-Edochie. Many more great years I wish you with loads of accomplishments and greatness. May God be with you always. Daddy loves you,” his father wrote on Instagram
Yul married his wife, May, at 22 after they both dated for six years. He followed in his father’s footsteps and debuted in the movie industry a year after his marriage.
In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that former Kaduna Senator, Shehu Sani has said Nigeria is in a “babalawo” or “juju man” situation room.
His statement was in reaction to the alarm raised by the Department of State Services (DSS) of a plan by some politicians to install an interim government in Nigeria.
