Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has been sworn in for a second term tenure of four years.
Makinde was sworn in at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Oke-Ado Ibadan, in the state on Monday.
The governor, who was reelected under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was also a member of the G5, a group of PDP governors who were opposed to the presidential ambition of Atiku Abubakar in the build-up to the 2023 general election.
Atiku was the presidential candidate of the PDP.
Meanwhile, Kanyi Daily reported that Bola Tinubu has been sworn in as the 16th president of Nigeria.
