A man unleashed his fury after his wife secured the second position at the Miss Gay Mato Grosso 2023 pageant in Brazil.
Emmanuelly Belini, representing Várzea Grande, was crowned as the winner of the beauty pageant on Saturday, but the husband of the second-place contestant, Nathally Becker, stormed the stage in a fit of rage.
In a video circulating on social media, the man could be seen forcibly snatching the crown from Belini and vehemently smashing it on the floor after Becker was named the runner-up of the pageantry.
Not content with his initial outburst, the enraged husband picked up the damaged crown and threw it down once again before attempting to leave the stage with his wife. But security swiftly intervened, preventing their hasty exit.
Following the incident, event organizers issued a statement affirming Belini’s rightful victory as the pageant winner. They also condemned the actions of Becker’s husband and vowed to pursue appropriate legal measures in response to the disturbing incident.
