Former Kaduna Senator, Shehu Sani has reacted to the reported appointment of the current Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila as the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu.
Gbajabiamila, whose tenure as speaker ends in a few days, was on Wednesday reported to have been appointed by Tinubu as his Chief of Staff.
Though the appointment has not been officially confirmed, the Director of New Media for the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Committee, Femi Fani-Kayode has congratulated Gbajabiamila on his Twitter page.
He urged Nigerians to be patient about the announcement, adding that the system works in its own way.
“Let the system follow its course,” he added.
Taking to his official Twitter handle on Thursday night, Shehu Sani argued that Tinubu could have “incubated serpents in his palace” if he had appointed any of the former North West Governors.
Though he did not mention any of the former governors, his comment may have been directed at Abdullahi Ganduje and Nasir El-Rufai of Kano and Kaduna States respectively.
The duo featured prominently in the campaign for Tinubu during the electioneering season.
Sani wrote, “If Asiwaju had appointed any of the Former North West Governors hustling for Chief of Staff, he could have incubated serpents in his palace.”
