Nigeria and the other countries who made bids to host the Africa Cup of Nations in 2025 will find out their fate this month.
According to sources, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) will make an official announcement on the country that will host the competition on September 12.
Nigeria and its neighbor, the Benin Republic, jointly sought to host the biannual competition.
Morocco, Algeria, South Africa, and Zambia are also in the running to host the competition.

The initial host country, Guinea, was deprived of hosting rights after failing to meet CAF’s basic requirements.
The next event will be held in Cote d’Ivoire in January 2023.
