Nigerian rapper, Cynthia Morgan, also known as Madrina, has shared her unsettling experience with her former record label, Northside Music, owned by Jude Okoye.
The painful death of former Marlian signee Mohbad, 27, has seen some record label owners being called out by some of their former signees.
In a series of post shared on her Instagram page, Cynthia Morgan highlighted the challenges she faced during her time with the label which claimed they bought her a house and car, including putting her on allowance.
The rapper described Jude as a coward, stressing that he couldn’t meet her face to face to resolve their dispute since she left his Northside Music.
She explained that that numerous falsehoods were spread about her over the years, and although they attempted to discuss matters in a meeting last year, Jude was too afraid to engage in a direct conversation with her and ultimately canceled the meeting.
Cynthia Morgan claimed it was all a cover-up, stating that the label said many hurtful things to her off-camera that made her give up on humanity.
She wrote, “Till date Jude cannot see me eyeball for eyeball. There are terrible people everywhere. You too have to be brutal. And just know people will never lie on you if they aren’t scared of you.
“They said they bought me a car, gave me a house and even put me on allowances they even went as far as saying I never made any returns for the label. This is how far people can go to cover up thier asses.
“They said I was a liar, ungrateful. Not sure if the being on drugs speculations also cam from them but yo I heard so many things that broke my heart even off camera. These people made me give up on humanity Couple with the mad man that says he is a prince.
“A meeting was arranged last year, I got to his gate and he changed his mind. Coward”
