A concerned resident of the state, who frequently uses the road, shared a video showcasing the extensive potholes on the road and expressed frustration over the resulting traffic congestion.

Reacting to the video via his Instagram stories, Falz highlighted the presence of a governor, commissioner for works, and commissioner for environment in the city.

The rapper questioned why Lagos, often regarded as the economic capital of the continent, still has such deteriorating road infrastructure and dangerous potholes.

He wrote, “THIS CITY HAS A GOVERNOR. A COMMISIONER OF TRANSPORT. A COMMISIONER OF WORKS AND INFRASTRUCTURE. A COMMISIONER OF ENVIRONMENT AND WATER RESOURCES. YET LOOK AT THIS MESS

“IT’S THE SAME STORY ALL OVER THE SUPPOSED ECONOMIC CAPITAL OF THE CONTINENT. UGLY FLOODED ROADS EVERYWHERE. ABSOLUTELY DILAPIDATED ROAD STRUCTURES. DEADLY POTHOLES ON THE HIGHWAY. RIDICULOUS TRAFFIC.”
