Owodunni Ibrahim aka Primeboy has claimed that the police lied to him about being summoned for questioning in connection with the death of musician Ilerioluwa Aloba aka Mohbad.
On Thursday, the Lagos State Police Command stated that Primeboy had been apprehended.
This happened less than a day after he was declared wanted and a N1 million bounty was placed on his head.
Primeboy, however, made various revelations in an interview before surrendering himself in, including assertions that Mohbad’s wife is attempting to frame him.

When asked about turning down a police invitation, he said, “That’s a big lie, there’s no way I’ll get a message from the police and I’ll refuse them.”
“Before being declared wanted, I wanted to turn myself in – I mean, explain myself at the station because they were wrongly accusing me.” People I phoned told I should relax, not go anyplace, and wait for them to invite me.
So I waited, and then yesterday I discovered myself wanted online. People began calling me N1 million for everyone who found me, which startled and surprised me. I called my lawyer and family, who told me to relax and that nothing would happen; so far, I know nothing about it.”
Primeboy also stated that he was not present when Mohbad died.
“I wasn’t there when he died because we had left after his show on Sunday.”
“That day, he chased me out of the car because he and his wife were having a private conversation; it was a family affair.”
“I want justice for Mohbad and I want his wife to stop framing me online, that’s wrong.”
