The Nigeria National League (NNL) has warned that clubs who fail to fulfil the league’s obligatory registration procedures will be expelled.
Dr. Ayo Abdulrahman, Chief Operating Officer of the NNL, issued the warning during a conference call with the league’s media.
According to Abdulrahman, some clubs have yet to complete registration, which began a month ago following the NNL AGM in Jos.
He emphasised that the NNL is a professional league, and that participating clubs must be ready to demonstrate professionalism ahead of the new season.

“We opened the registration window immediately following the AGM last month in Jos.” Despite the ultimatum imposed last week, some clubs have failed to register,” he said.
He claims that the new board, led by George Aluo, is committed to do things differently.
“Any club that does not complete its registration formalities by early this week risks being kicked out of the league.”
“We will not be swayed by any club.” The secretariat is working around the clock to guarantee that everything is done professionally.”
The next season is set to begin on Saturday, October 28.
