Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has revealed that the club’s historic Treble has taken a toll on everyone, including himself.
Guardiola was speaking after City defeated Brighton 2-1 to snap a two-game losing streak in the Premier League.
The champions, however, were far from fluent against Roberto De Zerbi’s side, with Guardiola admitting there is a hangover from last season’s achievements.
“The Treble had an impact on all of us, including myself.” So we need to be there, arriving in the final moments of the season, being close to the opponents, and attempting to repeat.

“I said many times that no one has won four Premier League titles in a row, never ever, so that shows how difficult it is. But now it’s important to be there, especially in the Champions League, to qualify for the next round,” Guardiola said.
