Johnny Drille, a sensational musician, has stated that his colleagues and record label partner, Rema, is not given enough respect for his outstanding achievements to the Nigerian music industry and beyond.
Despite all of Rema’s musical triumphs at such a young age, the ‘Believe Me’ crooner blamed it on prejudice.
Johnny Drille recently told The Beat 99.9 FM in Lagos, “Not to be provocative or anything, but if Rema was some other artistes, other prominent artistes in Nigeria, everyone would be screaming at their lungs like, ‘Hey! This guy is breaking the rules.’

And Rema has done some fantastic things for his age that I don’t think we give him enough credit for. I mean, he literally has one of the biggest hits in the world, not just in Africa, with ‘Calm Down,’ which has been on the Billboard Top 10 for about a year. That has never been done before in African music history. And he had several sold-out gigs all over the world.
“It just feels like he’s getting started.” We should give this young man more credit.”
