Nigerian Chef, Hilda Baci extended congratulations to Irish Chef Alan Fisher, who recently attained the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
KanyiDaily recalls that Alan Fisher set a new individual record for the longest cooking marathon, achieving an astounding time of 119 hours and 57 minutes, surpassing Hila Baci’s previous record by over 24 hours.
The Irish chef also broke the record for the longest baking marathon, clocking in at 47 hours and 21 minutes, surpassing Wendy Sandner’s (USA) previous record of 31 hours and 16 minutes.
According to the Guinness World Records on Tuesday, Fisher took on both challenges consecutively, spending over 160 hours in the kitchen with just a little over a day of rest in between the two record-breaking attempts.
Reacting on her Twitter page, Hilda Baci who previously held the record with a time of 93 hours and 11 minutes, congratulated Fisher on his success.
She wrote, “Huge congratulations to Alan Fisher! 119hrs 57mins is a huge achievement, and I wish him all the best as the new world record holder! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾.”

Alan Fisher’s feat came five months after the Guinness World Record confirmed Hilda’ Baci’s adventurous cooking. The Nigerian chef broke the 87 hours and 45 minutes record held by India’s Lata Tondon since 2019.
