Spokesman for the Atiku Abubakar Presidential campaign council, Daniel Bwala said President Bola Tinubu may encounter more significant challenges in handling the supporters of Peter Obi, than the country’s economic issues.
Bwala made this statement in response to Datti Baba-Ahmed, the running mate of Peter Obi, who commented on the Supreme Court’s verdict upholding Tinubu’s victory as Nigeria’s president.
Datti Baba-Ahmed, in an interview, said that the Supreme Court’s decision only confirmed the illegality of the lower courts and did not affirm Tinubu’s victory.
He also criticized Tinubu, alleging that he had forged his certificate and was involved in drug money forfeitures.
But in a statement posted on his X handle on Tuesday, Bwala said that Tinubu would encounter greater challenges in handling the Labour Party and its supporters.
He stated, “Listening to Datti Baba-Ahmed this evening, I believe the man has not shifted a bit from his earlier position, although he now accepts the fact that Tinubu is the President by the court.
“But Peter Obi and Datti’s position today convinced me that @officialABAT Tinubu has more problems to manage with the Labour Party and Obidients than the entire economy and insecurity in Nigeria.
“How he will navigate this is a course to be taught at OAU, ABU, and Nsukka universities,” he added.
Kanyi Daily recalls that the Supreme Court had dismissed the appeal of Peter Obi, the candidate of the Labour Party, to nullify Bola Tinubu’s election, deeming it without merit.
