Stella Maris, the wife of Nollywood actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, has apologized to the Actor’s Guild of Nigeria (AGN) for her previous online allegations.
KanyiDaily recalls that last month, Stella Maris and AGN’s Director of Communications, Kate Henshaw clashed after she called out the union for not supporting her ailing husband, Mr Ibu.
During a recent interview with actor Uche Maduagwu, Stella expressed remorse for falsely denying the support offered by the AGN in her husband’s health crisis.
The actor’s wife admitted that she had been manipulated into falsely claiming that the organization had not assisted her sick husband.
Stella, who has been engaged in a public dispute with her husband’s adopted daughter, Chioma Jasmine, did not provide details about how and by whom she was manipulated.
She disclosed that Kate Henshaw had visited her husband in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) where they engaged in conversation and shared jokes while Mr Ibu was still vocal.
Mr Ibu’s wife said, “My people, I am so sorry about this. I was manipulated to say all those things.”
