Nigerian singer, Asake has responded to pleas for financial aid for the ailing policewoman, Helen Utabor, known for the viral clip ‘Epp me.’
Helen, who became famous for the phrase “epp me epp me, he dey carry me go where I no know,” is currently facing health challenges.
Popular comedian, I Go Save had shared a video on Instagram, revealing Helen’s condition. She had reportedly been struck by a vehicle while directing traffic in Edo, requiring 1.5 million naira for medical treatment.
Social media users rallied to encourage Asake to extend help to the woman, with many suggesting that he owed her royalties for using her viral ‘epp me epp me’ phrase as an intro in his hit song ‘Peace Be Unto You.’
In a recent development, I Go Save informed fans that Asake had answered the call for assistance by transferring N5M into Helen’s account.
Sharing screenshots of the transactions as evidence, the comedian said the ongoing treatment has shown positive progress in Helen’s health.
He also took the opportunity to criticize high-ranking police officials and politicians for their silence on Helen’s health crisis, urging them to offer support to the ailing policewoman.
