Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, nicknamed Zlatan Ibile, a Nigerian musician and rapper, has stated that his 2017 collaboration single with Olamide, ‘My Body,’ was a watershed moment in his career.
He described the YBNL boss’s gift of a lyric as “life-changing.”
In a recent interview with prominent YouTuber Korty EO, Zlatan described how he kept pestering Olamide for a collaboration via his social media DM and how, despite initial disappointments, it eventually happened.
“Olamide giving me a verse at that time was life-changing for me,” he remarked. I was continually following him and DMing him for a verse.
“He made appointments for me twice, but they didn’t happen until the third time.” He brought me to his place, and because I was performing more rap, I assumed we would do a rap song, but then Olamide began singing an Afrobeats song, ‘My Body.’ He did it because he knew it would make me an instant celebrity.
“I recorded my verse and that was how my story changed.”
Kanyidaily recalls that Zlatan Ibile fueled breakup rumours with Babymama, Davita as they unfollow each other on IG.
