On Tuesday evening, a group of suspected criminals targeted Abdullahi Supermarket in One Man Village, near Mararaba in Nasarawa State.
It resulted to the tragic deaths of four customers,including a staff of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.
Daniel Adefemi Okunade, identified as a CBN staff through his identity card, was fatally shot in the head and passed away instantly.
At the time of the report, three other individuals who were brutally killed alongside him remained unidentified.
According to an eyewitness report, the robbery lasted under two minutes, within which the CBN staff, allegedly the choir master of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in One Man Village, was fatally shot.
He was said to have had a stop over at the Supermarket to buy bread for his family when the robbers entered the crowded store, causing the unfortunate loss of lives among the four customers.
The men involved in the incident did not touch his parked Toyota Venza car outside the Supermarket
It’s reported that Okunade was returning from work when he tragically encountered his untimely death at the hands of the suspected robbers.
At the time of this report, the atmosphere in the area was tense as people kept flocking into the Supermarket to identify the robbery victims.
Meanwhile, police operatives from New Nyayan Divisional Police Station have relocated the bodies of the robbery victims to the Mararaba Medical Center mortuary in Mararaba.
No details have been released to the public by the police regarding the incident.
Despite this, numerous sympathizers, including church members, have been visiting the late CBN staff’s home to extend their condolences to his family.
Kanyi Daily recalls that Gunmen invaded a farm in the Uso community of Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State and kidnapped the Chief Imam of the town, Alhaji Ibrahim Bodunde Oyinlade.
