“Must I Die Before You Remember Me?” – Terry G Calls Out His Fellow Musicians [Video]
Nigerian artist, Gabriel Othe Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G, has expressed frustration about the lack of response from fellow musicians when he reaches out to them.
In a video shared on his Instagram page, Terry G lamented that during his time, artists sought him out, and he provided them with hits. Now, when he attempts to connect with them, they do not respond.
The musician expressed his disappointment and questioned whether he must die before receiving remembrance from his colleagues.
He wrote, “But this isn’t fair na, u will write to your fellow artist, he wouldn’t respond. Make una remember, when it was in my time, you all came to me and I have you guys hits.
“Now I am chatting you guys up, you don’t want to respond. Is it until I die before you guys would do remembrance for me? Na so Nigerian music be, make una reason am oo”.
In another post, he emphasized that artists shouldn’t have to die to be remembered and celebrated.
He stated that everyone contributes to the global music library of sounds and announced his return, thanking his fans for their patience.
“You go write your fellow artiste, e no go respond. When everybody came to G, they received hits. We don’t have to die to be remembered & celebrated.
“At the end of the day, we all contribute to the global music library of sounds. Just in case. I am back. Thank you for the wait,” Terry G. wrote.
