Emdee Tiamiyu Reportedly Deported Back To Nigeria By UK Government

Tiamiyu gained attention last year when he was criticized for allegedly betraying Nigerians to the UK government.

In a BBC interview, the YouTuber claimed that some Nigerians use student visas to enter the UK under false pretenses to start a new life and not for education.

His comments angered Nigerians, who accused him of betrayal and labeled him as ‘Judas’ for selling out his country men to the UK government.

The interview also led to changes in UK policy, preventing Nigerians and other international students from bringing family members while studying for a Master’s degree, except for PhD students.

In March 2023, Tiamiyu was reportedly arrested for fraud.

He was accused of misusing £160,000 provided by the UK government for relocation, which he allegedly used to build a house in Ogun state, Nigeria.

Fresh reports circulating on social media this morning suggest that Tiamiyu has been deported to Nigeria.

While the news is still unclear and yet to be confirmed, many Nigerians are already celebrating his deportation, pointing out hew he betrayed his fellow country men last year.
