Nollywood actress, Nancy Isime has finally addressed the backlash she has been facing on social media.
Nancy Isime was first accused of having a romantic relationship with the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.
The actress also faced backlash from some Muslims for wearing a niqab and holding a gun on an upcoming movie.
In her response, Isime shared photos on Instagram, along with messages expressing how unfazed she is by the controversy.
The actress stated that she is focused solely on her goals and making money, and she doesn’t let others’ opinions affect her.
She also reminded her followers that others often project their insecurities as flaws onto those who shine brightly, using criticism as a coping mechanism to feel safer.
Isime wrote, “Really out the way. In my own world. No drama, no gossip. Just goals and money. Peace is where I’m at.
“I don’t bother nobody & I’m not bothered by nobody. That’s my peace. To protect my peace, I stopped taking other people’s projected opinions personally.
“Reminder: Your light often highlights other people’s insecurities and shortcomings, which they will then project back to you as a flaw. It’s a coping mechanism. Attacking you makes them feel safer.
She added, “ISIME BABY!! OMO OLOGO 5G!!! THE BRIGHTEST LIGHT!!!! THE CITY ON A HILL THAT CAN NEVER BE HIDDEN!!!!! THE NANCY ISIME!! BIG NAME, BIG FORCE!!”
