On August 1, a screenshot circulated online claiming that Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin had decided to forgive VeryDarkMan and drop the N1 billion lawsuit against the activist.

The message emphasized the clergyman’s commitment to Christ’s teachings while describing the activist as his son. It reads, “Verydarkman, I, Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, extend forgiveness to you.

“I am withdrawing the court case against you. Following the teachings of Jesus, who preached peace and corrected sinners, I forgive you. May you learn from your mistakes and walk in righteousness from now on, my son.”

However, a check of the prophet’s social media pages did not confirm that the message came from him.

While it is still unclear if Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin wrote the message, VeryDarkMan responded to it, expressing his doubts about its authenticity.

The activist stated that even if the message were true, he would not accept the apology.

He explained that the prophet’s announcement of a N1 billion lawsuit against him caused him significant depression and sadness.

VeryDarkMan noted that if the prophet decided to withdraw the legal case, he would counter-sue him.

The activist, pretending to cry, highlighted that his dispute with the prophet was aimed at ensuring citizens were not buying substandard products.

He also mentioned that any proceeds from the countersuit would be donated to charity.
