Nigerian activist, Yemi Fasipe has taken to social media to express his curiousity about the “Japa syndrome”.
Japa Syndrome is a common a term used to describe the trend of people leaving Nigeria for better opportunities abroad.
Taking to his X page, Yemi Fasipe asked why the practice is more common in the southern part of Nigeria compared to the north.
‘’I want to ask a harmless question: why is the Japa syndrome not affecting the North like the South in Nigeria?” he asked
