Nigerian Food critic, Opeyemi Famakin has made serious allegations against socialite Cubana Chief Priest following a review of his restaurant in Imo State.
In his review, Opeyemi Famakin praised Cubana Chief Priest for the restaurant’s decor and the appealing local dishes, noting the generous meat portions.
However, he criticized the pastries, mentioning that his burger was microwaved, which ruined its taste.
The food critic suggested using an oven or heated lamps instead.
Famakin concluded his review by acknowledging that it might affect his safety but decided to post it anyway.
Initially, Cubana Chief Priest appeared unfazed and thanked Famakin publicly, writing, “Thank you for stopping by, Foodie. Stay blessed G.”
However, Famakin later received a direct message from Cubana Chiefpriest that he interpreted as a threat.
The message allegedly read: “Karma is real and you must pay for whatsoever you sow in life. I don’t fight low life’s I leave them to Karma.”
The businessman also claimed that the restaurant reviewed was owned by his 6-year-old son.
Famakin shared a screenshot of the threatening message and expressed his fear for his safety, stating he plans to leave Imo State.
He warned that if anything happens to him, Cubana Chief Priest should be held accountable.
”I Know A threat When I See One, I guess Its Time To Leave Imo State ASAP. If anything happens to me while I am here, well, you know who to hold,” the food critic wrote.
Famakin criticized the contrast between Cubana Chiefpriest’s polite public comments and his threatening private message, noting, “I love how he was polite in the comment section for the world to see and it was a different tone in my Dm’s.”
