Edo Election: Davido Criticizes Police For Telling Voters To Go Home After Voting

Davido shared his disagreement following a statement by Frank Mba, the Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of election security.

In an interview with Channels Television on Saturday morning, Mba urged Edo voters to cast their ballots and return home, also announcing a ban on vehicular movement in the state from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on election day.

“If you’re not accredited to participate in the election, you shouldn’t be on the streets. Cast your vote and return home; it’s your civic duty,” the Police DIG said.

Davido, who supports the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), opposed this suggestion, believing voters shouldn’t have to return home immediately after voting.

In response to Mba’s statement, Davido tweeted, “Loooooooool go where ???”
