Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has expressed his disappointment over boxer Anthony Joshua’s recent defeat at Wembley Stadium.
Anthony Joshua was knocked out in the fifth round by Daniel Dubois during their heavyweight clash on Saturday, allowing Dubois to retain his IBF heavyweight title.
Dubois dominated the fight, knocking Joshua down four times before landing a decisive right-hand punch in the fifth round that ended the match.
After the fight, Joshua admitted in a press conference that his defeat was due to several mistakes made during the bout.
Reacting to the loss on his Instagram page, Yul Edochie suggested that Joshua might be losing his passion for boxing.
The actor, who acknowledged he’s still Joshua’s fan, expressed how much the loss affected him, stressing that Joshua didn’t seem fully focused during the lead-up to the match.
He wrote, “No disrespect to Anthony Joshua, but e be like boxing don tire am sef.
“All through the build-up to the match, he never looked like he took the fight seriously.
“Still a fan of AJ. But the result pain me .E pain me”.
