Nigerian Comedian, DeeOne has urged activist VeryDarkMan to stop involving rapper Falz and his father, Femi Falana, in the ongoing controversy surrounding Bobrisky and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
KanyiDaily recalls that the EFCC had launched an investigation into claims that some of its officers accepted N15 million from Bobrisky to drop money laundering charges against him.
The investigation was ordered by EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede after a viral audio recording, produced by VeryDarkMan, surfaced, where Bobrisky made these confessions.
In the recording, Bobrisky claimed that Falz and his father, Femi Falana, reached out to him, emphasizing that he could apply for a pardon to avoid serving his full sentence.
According to him, the Falanas advised him that since his case was at the federal level, he should pay N10 million to clear his name.
At the end of the recording, VeryDarkMan expressed his disappointment with Falz and Femi Falana, stating that they should be upholding justice.
Reacting to the situation in a video, DeeOne defended Falz and his father, saying there was nothing wrong with their involvement in the case.
The comedian questioned why VeryDarkMan would criticize them, arguing that just because Bobrisky is his enemy doesn’t mean everyone else should dislike him.
He also pointed out that VeryDarkMan once asked Davido to help Dammy Krane, and suggested that if Bobrisky had a lawyer like Femi Falana, he might not have ended up in prison.
He said, “There is no need to drag Falz, drag his father; it makes no sense; because Bobrisky is your enemy does not mean everybody in the whole world should hate him.
“When Dammy Krane had problems, why did you reach out to Davido to pardon him? In the first place, if Bobrisky had a lawyer like Femi Falana, do you think he would have gone to prison?
“There is nothing wrong, if Falz had called his daddy to intervene in the matter,“ DeeOne added.
