Nigerian crossdresser, Bobrisky has denied bribery allegations made by social media influencer VeryDarkMan.
In a viral audio recording released by VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky allegedly claimed that certain unidentified operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) accepted N15 million from him to dismiss money laundering charges.
In response to the viral audio, the EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, issued a statement on Tuesday saying that the Commission’s Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, had ordered an immediate investigation into the allegations.
However, Bobrisky took to Instagram on Wednesday morning to deny the accusations, stating that he never bribed any EFCC official to avoid the charges and that he had fully served his sentence.
Bobrisky dismissed the viral recording as fake and urged the public to disregard it, insisting that claims about him not serving time in prison were untrue.
He wrote, “My attention has been drawn to a fake voice recording circulating on the internet that i paid EFFC 15million naira, and that i was never in prison… i didn’t pay any effc money is a very big lie. I served my term in full and i came out. Discard any false information.”
Bobrisky also criticized the credibility of VeryDarkMan who had previously admitted to paying someone to hack actress Iyabo Ojo’s phone and Instagram accounts., which is illegal.
He added, “Imagining believing someone that came out publicly to tell us that you paid a hacker to track someone phone which is against d law can be desperate to do anything at dis point. I didn’t give EFCC any money. made a mistake typo in writeup.”
KanyiDaily recalls that Bobrisky who was sentenced to six months in prison for Naira abuse, regained his freedom after over four months in jail.
