Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up’ winner, Phyna has announced that she is dropping her family surname, Otabor, after discovering she has no confirmed family ties.
In posts shared on her X and Instagram accounts, Phyna revealed that it has been confirmed she has no known family, and the details of her origins remain a mystery.
The reality star described the emotional turmoil she has faced since uncovering this truth and admitted she is still searching for answers.
Reflecting on her childhood, Phyna said she had suspicions about her situation, recalling how she was often moved around among relatives, but she was too young at the time to fully grasp what was happening.
Phyna opened up about feeling unsupported by her family from a young age and shared her struggles in coming to terms with her reality.
She wrote, “I am publicly dropping my family surname OTABOR… it has been proven that I actually have no family and nobody knows how I came about,” she wrote.
“I’m still searching for answers though… it’s been rough with me lately…… I’m in a place where I can’t even describe how I feel or what to call what I’m going through rn. Going up and the way I was toss around relative I should suspected but guess I was too young… omo my head wan tear!!!!!!”
Her message has prompted an outpouring of support from fans and followers, who have offered her encouragement and solidarity during this difficult time.
