Benue State House of Assembly members today ended their sitting with exchange of verbal and physical assaults over a disagreement.
The rowdy session was over a reported to be over impeachment of principal officers.
According to unconfirmed reports, it all started when one lawmaker, Hon. Kester Terna-Kyenge representing Logo Local Government Area moved a motion but the Speaker of the House Terkimbir Ikyange overruled the motion.
It was also gathered that Hon. Kester physically assaulted the speaker before he adjourned the sitting till Thursday 21st July 2016. This later led to a free for all fight.
There is no official report from the lawmaking body in Benue State concerning the incident.
