Elder statesman and the Second Republic lawmaker, Junaid Mohammed has attacked Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), for giving condition to the Federal Government for returning to the country.
KanyiDaily had reported that Nnamdi Kanu who is seeking to return to Nigeria to bury his dead mother, Sally Ugoeze Nnenne Kanu, had said that he was ready to face trial if his safety would be guaranteed by an Abuja Federal High Court.
Speaking with Independent on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, Junaid Mohammed insisted that the Nnamdi Kanu committed a criminal offense by jumping bail, and has no right to give the federal government any condition for his return to the county to face trial.
Mohammed said the IPOB leader should “go to hell and burn to ashes” for attempting to return to Nigeria after jumping bail. He said
“First and foremost, who is he? What is IPOB itself? One, he jumped bail which is a criminal offence. Now he is saying his mother is dead and he must be allowed to come home”.
“He is now giving the federal government conditions for him to return to the country. Let him burn to ashes and go to hell”.
“I don’t know why the media is giving unnecessary coverage and attention to scoundrels who are just agitators whipping up sentiments to destabilise the country”.
