The Noble Prize in Medicine has honored three neuroscientists whose work has contributed to answering questions relating to Alzheimer and Nerve Cell discoveries.
John o’Keefe, along with May-Britt Moser and Edvard I. Moser discovered cells that form the positioning system in the brain.
Those cells are what help us to mark our position, navigate where we are going to as well as help us remember it all, in other for us to repeat it again.
The prize money of USD 1.2million were splited among the three neuroscientists, where halve of the money went to J. O’Keefe and the other halve was shared between May-Britt Moser and Edvard I Moser who are couples.
Kudos to them for a job well done.
