Former Super Eagles captain, Sunday Oliseh, has been appointed into the FIFA Technical Study Group. He broke the news of his appointment by the world soccer governing body on social media networking website, Twitter today.
The former Ajax Amsterdam midfielder wrote via his Twitter account: “BREAKING NEWS: F.I.F.A (Federation International de Football Federation) appoints Oliseh…am honored!”
“It is with great honour that I share with you my appointment by the world’s football governing body, F.I.F.A as a member of its Technical Study Group amongst other functions.
“I am flattered to be a part of this football family and I believe that this is a blessed period not only for me personally but for my beloved Nation, Nigeria!” Oliseh further stated on his official website.
Oliseh,38, holds a UEFA Pro Licence in coaching and was capped 63 times for Nigeria scoring four goals in a career that spanned between 1993 and 2002.
