About six suspects have reportedly been arrested by Imo State Police Command in connection with the recent brutal murder of Pastor Emmanuel Adoba, Special Adviser to the Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, Mr. Benjamin Uwajimogu.
Suspected assassins gave several matchet cuts on vital areas of late Pastor Aduba’s body, while he was sleeping with members of his family in his country home, Okuku, Owerri West local council area of Imo State.
When Vanguard visited the rural and once peaceful community yesterday, it was observed that most indigenes of the area had deserted the place for fear of being either arrested by the police or mowed down by hoodlums.
It would also be recalled that Aduba’s grandson, Prince Albert C. Emeka, narrowly escaped death early this year, when he was shot at by unknown persons in his house
As at the time of going to press, it was not clear where Emeka and other dignitaries in the community had run to for safety.
