Dribbling around the kitchen, eyes firmly on the ball, footie-mad Klay Rooney shows he is following in his dad’s famous footsteps.
The 14-month-old has only just learned to walk but it appears he has inherited his dad Wayne’s genes as he goes on a mazy run around the kitchen with a football. His uncle Anthony McLoughlin, who is Coleen’s brother, shared a 22-second clip video showing Klay who just started working in June, receiving a ball in his path and then go on a run to the delight of his proud family.
Anthony wrote:
“Player, first touch. Touch into his path, not long been walking, obsessed with footy.”
It’s in stark contrast to his older brother Kai, two year and nine months, who earlier this year Coleen revealed was more into his dancing than football.
She said:
“Kai isn’t much into sports at the moment, but he is always running around and likes to try new things.
“I know Wayne is looking to spot a few football skills in him, but at the moment he’s mainly into his dancing. At least it’s an active household.”
A source said:
“Wayne is very proud of both his children and is delighted that Klay loves his football. He is so young but he really enjoys it and looks really talented.
“If he carries on like this who’s to say he won’t one day become a professional or even play for England.”
