It’s something Bieber couldn’t quite handle when he showed up during an Ariana Grande concert in Miami this Saturday. Bieber took over for The Weeknd on the song “Love Me Harder,” but couldn’t remember what to sing and left a couple of very awkward blanks in the song.
“So I feel bad, I forgot the words, Ariana,” Bieber apologized after the song was over. “I’ve been trying to memorize them backstage for like an hour.”
At least no one seemed to mind. Grande wasn’t frazzled at all, and- as demonstrated when she pointed into the crowd and said “nobody heard”- neither was the audience. The two also performed Bieber’s hits “All That Matters” and “As Long as You Love Me,” which were entirely flub-free.
Bieber’s final thoughts on the matter were revealed in an Instagram post later that night, reading
“Had fun with u Ariana, even tho I forgot all the words haha.”
