“This was definitely a hard decision for me,”
What kind of things? Leakes, who recently wrapped her run on Broadway in Cinderella, said,
“I’m actually going to be doing a new primetime television show with a big legend. All of my fans will get to see me be really happy, witty and funny and tell all of those one liners that I have always said on Housewives.”
She also recently joined Kim Kardashian’s mobile app as a character, and has a clothing line she’s sold on HSN and when asked if her many arguments and rivalries influenced her decision, Leakes replied,
“There were times when I was a target. I won’t miss the negativity.”
Fans of the outspoken Bravo-lebrity, who’s been called the network’s biggest star, won’t have to worry about missing out on their NeNe fix. Leakes will co-star in a spinoff series with Kim Zolciak that’s set to premiere sometime in late 2015.
In her statement to People, Leakes left the door open for a possible return to RHOA at some point in the future.
I’m not saying I’m gone forever,” NeNe says. “I’ll probably pop up and play with those girls every now and then.”
