Her power to draw in the crowds at the box office is undeniable.
But as a passionate humanitarian, Angelina Jolie will be hoping to fill lecture halls this fall as it’s been revealed the actress will be teaching a class at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
In May the 41-year-old actress announced she’d be teaching at the prestigious London School of Economics for the fall term, which is the sister institution to Georgetown.
According to a source for Us Weekly, Angelina’s topics will include ‘women, peace and security,’ all subjects on which she’s focused her activism around the world.
When her first teaching gig was announced in the spring, Angelina issued a statement clarifying the reasons for moving into academia.
‘It is vital that we broaden the discussion on how to advance women’s rights and end impunity for crimes that disproportionately affect women, such as sexual violence in conflict,’
‘I am looking forward to teaching and learning from the students, as well as to sharing my own experiences of working alongside governments and the United Nations.’
