Former President Olusegun Obasanjo visited President Muhammadu Buhari today for a close-door talk bordering on current national issues at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Providing sketchy details about the visit, Buhari said Obasanjo was at the villa “to discuss Governance and national issues.”
Many have suggested the talk might be about the lingering and repressive economic recession that has left many Nigerians very bitter.
Also, on the agenda might be the recent onslaught by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) who stormed the official homes of some judges across the country on a sting operation over alleged corruption.
Many have quipped that Obasanjo might have gone to see the president owing to the battle that is playing out in the House of Representatives following accusations of fraud and budget padding leveled against Speaker Dogara and others in the House by Abdulmumin Jibrin which has led to the latter’s suspension by the house.
It is believed Obasanjo might have advised the president to take a stand against corruption as nothing has been done to take those indicted by Jibrin into custody.
