PDP’s Presidential Candidate Will Likely Fail Because Of The Party’s Huge Corruption – Donald Duke
The Social Democratic Party (SDP) presidential candidate, Donald Duke considers himself a better option among 76 candidates aspiring for the presidency in the 2019 polls.
Donald Duke, while addressing reporters in Lagos on Thursday, November 22, 2018, said there is an issue of massive corruption to deal with as the flag bearer of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). He said:
“Even if I had emerged as the PDP presidential flag bearer, and win the election, the huge baggage the party carries will not allow me to do well.
“The corruption is huge. You need to be completely unshackled to perform amidst such obstacles without being pulled down.”
He also noted that majority of President Buhari’s All Progressives Congress (APC) are individuals who crossed from the PDP, so he claimed that’s why Buhari finds it difficult to fight corruption.
“You can see that President Muhammadu Buhari, with his stern stand on corruption, is still finding it difficult to navigate smoothly because it is the same corrupt persons that we are still battling. They simply joined APC from PDP.”
The SDP’s presidential candidate has urged interest in a discussion around the center topics affecting Nigeria and avoid a repetition of past errors. According to him, any bad decision can mean a disastrous period for the country.
