Read The Communique Issued at the end of the meeting of the Association of Anambra State Aggrieved APGA Aspirants 3

1)the grievances of the Aspirants as regards to the shabby primaries election of the Party.

2) The non-notification of the proposed reconciliatory meeting by the APGA National Reconciliation Committee.

3)The fraudulent, objectionable, despicable and odious actions of the APGA National Chairman and his National Working Committee, as well as the Anambra State APGA Chairman towards the Party and her Aspirants.

4)The Silence and neglect by the Board of Trustees towards the cataclysm and havoc caused by the National Chairman and his National Working Committee.

5)The absence of primaries elections in several constituencies, yet results were announced.

6)Incompetence of the Organisers of the primaries elections.

7)Exorbitant price of delegate forms from N1000 to N10,000, yet extta huge sums were paid before the paid delegates forms were collected.

8)No Delegate election was conducted in all the wards in Anambra State.

9)Issuance of Certificate of Returns to inexperienced/unqualified Aspirants.

10)Neglect and disrespect of Party Stakeholders of various constituencies.

In attendance were over 35 Aggrieved Aspirants consisting of both Senate, Federal House and State House of Assembly Aspirants respectively, representing all the Aggrieved Aspirants. *Annexed to this communique is the list of the Anambra State Aggrieved APGA Aspirants who attended this meeting.*

*DELIBERATIONS*

The Association of Anambra State Aggrieved APGA Aspirants registered their chagrin towards the manner in which the Party had treated them from the onset of the party primary processes to this point. According to the Aggrieved APGA Aspirants, they duly paid for their Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms, of which contains their contact details, which can also be gotten from all the Local Government Chairmen of the Party, yet the National Reconciliation Committee did not deem it fit, to send individual notifications of the said Reconciliatory meeting to all the Aspirants. This attitude of the National Reconciliation Committee can connote that the said Committee may not know the enormity and sensitivity of its assignments.

Furthermore, it is degrading and disrespectful of the National Reconciliation Committee to send a notification of the reconciliation meeting on air and social media, and as such did not give the Aggrieved Aspirants enough time to make travel plans down to the venue of the said Reconciliation meeting.

That the National Chairman with his cohorts duped the Aspirants of their hard earned money in the name of the Party in the guise of conducting party primaries.

The Association of Aggrieved APGA Aspirants further registered their disappointment with the Board of Trustees of our dear Party, who should have assumed leadership of the Party in such event of Havoc and Crisis in the Party, such that the Aspirants and millions of Party faithfuls have lost Confidence in the APGA National Chairman and the National Working Committee.

That there was no delegate election in all the constituencies despite having purchased delegate forms with huge sums.

That in some constituencies, Aspirants won the primaries but was denied Certificate of Return. Whilst some had more votes than the total number of accredited voters.

That most of those issued with the Certificate of returns are unpopular, not members of the party and who worked against the Party during the last Anambra State Governorship elections and unqualified by the provisions of the Party constitution to stand for elections.

*The Association of Anambra State Aggrieved APGA Aspirants carefully considered and canvassed the above issues and resolved as follows;*

1) The immediat
e and unconditional resignation of the Party’s National Chairman, Chief Victor Oye as the Chairman of the Party. Failing to do so, the BOT should suspend the NWC and assume leadership of the Party till further notice.

2) Refund of all monies collected by the Party to the Aspirants who have not decamped to other parties.

3) Substitution of Candidates with questionable credentials, those who face irreconcilable opposition by their stakeholders, those without credibility and capacity to win the elections with credible ones in some Constituencies where it’s necessary. This is to save the party from losing the seats either at the Polls or in the Election Tribunals.

4) Public condemnation by the Governor of Anambra State and retrieval of positions from persons who participated in duping of the Aspirants in the Party’s name and in the name of Party primaries.

5) The Governor who is the Leader of the Party and Chairman of the Board of Trustees should as a matter of urgency and in the interest of the Party summon all the Aggrieved Aspirants in the State for a peace meeting.

6) Party Stakeholders should be consulted and reconciled with, so as to ensure smooth elections. Henceforth, it is our advice that stakeholders of various constituencies should be consulted before serious and sensitive actions concerning their constituencies are taken.

7)The Aggrieved APGA Aspirants insists to have representatives at the National Reconciliation Committee to ensure balance of considerations, justice and input into what the Committee is doing.

*CONCLUSION*
In view to maintain sanity in our Party and to promote the tenets of our own dear Party, we the Association of Aggrieved APGA Aspirants without prejudice, state that the above resolutions MUST be considered within 72 hours of the receipt of this Communique. It is our resolve to remain in this great party which had done very well for Ndi Igbo before the latest inglorious acts of ignominy by the National Chairman and members of the Party’s NWC. However we are afraid that what happened to the PDP in the 2015 Presidential election will be a child’s play to what will happen to APGA in the 2019 general elections especially in the House of Assembly election, as the Party shall witness a very shameful and devastating defeat at the polls if our cries and those of the teeming APGA faithfuls are not met within the stipulated time.

Thanks in anticipation of your prompt and fatherly actions on this letter.
