According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Saraki, who ran on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party lost to APC’s Ibrahim Oloriegbe.

Ibrahim Oloriegbe (APC) – 123,808
Bukola Saraki (PDP) – 54,814
