Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari has sent Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State, to openly insult the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, over godfatherism in Lagos.
Over the weekend, El-Rufai had taken a swipe at Tinubu’s dominance of the political structure in Lagos State, saying he would teach people of Lagosians how to end godfatherism in Lagos State.
In reaction, Omokri took to his Twitter page on Tuesday to say that Tinubu’s time as a political godfather was up, having been insulted by Gov. El-Rufai in Lagos of all places.
Omokri claimed that Buhari, El-Rufai and other Northern leaders have finished using Tinubu, adding that he is now as useless as a used sanitary pad.
Bola @AsiwajuTinubu should know the game is up when @MBuhari's protege, @Elrufai, openly insults him. Don’t be deceived. El-Rufai wont rudicule him, in Lagos of all places, without Buhari’s buy in. They've finished using him. He‘s now as useful as a used sanitary pad! #RenosDarts

First they used Bola @AsiwajuTinubu to get the votes of Lagos and the Southwest, then they send @Elrufai to teach Lagos and the Southwest how to get rid of the same Tinubu. This is exactly what was done to Afonja in Ilorin by Alimi. Tinubu has just repeated history! #RenosDarts

Tinubu refused to learn from history. History does not repeat itself. Instead, it is men, like @AsiwajuTinubu, who repeat history! Tinubu should go and ask @Atiku about @Elrufai. El-Rufai will kneel down to you when he needs you and talk down at you when he's finished using you! pic.twitter.com/xfrDqkH0S5
