Attack On Ekweremadu: IPOB Has Right To Protest, No Arrest Will Be Made - German Police [Video] 1

German police authorities, Landespolizie in Nuremberg, Germany have dismissed the alleged attack on Ike Ekweremadu, Nigeria’s former Deputy Senate President, as “just a mere protest”.

KanyiDaily had reported that Ike Ekweremadu was beaten up and publicly humiliated by suspected IPOB members in Nuremberg, Germany where he had attended the New Yam Festival of Igbo Community over the weekend.

The videos of the attack, posted by some members of the pro-biafra group who allegedly carried out the attack, have since gone viral.

German police authorities dismissed the attack saying it’s just a protest and demonstration against the lawmaker.

When pressed further if there would be any arrest, he replied that no arrest was made and didn’t have plans of making any future arrest, no investigation of any sort, that the case is closed.

“There was nothing much about this senator from Nigeria that came. About 30 persons demonstrated against him and the police were called and they called the situation down and the senator drove away in his car.

“Nothing happened, so there is not going to be any arrests. No arrests were made, nothing. No police investigation will be carried out in relations to the chaos,” said a police press officer in Nüremberg.
