The Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) has arrested a 16-year-old boy, Adewale Ayuba, for killing his mate, Abdulahi Wasiu, during a cult clash between two secondary schools in Ijanikin area of the state.
Ayuba was said to have stabbed Wasiu on the chest, killing him on the spot on October 21, 2019, during a cult clash between Oto Awori Secondary School and Government Secondary School boys.
The Public Affairs Officer (PAO) of the agency, Olawale Afolabi, said LNSC officials at Vespa received information and notified policemen at Ijanikin Ijanikin Division who moved to the scene.
“When LNSC operation team got the information, they notified Ijanikin police station.
“The police in conjunction with LNSC took the deceased to the hospital.
“The boy that committed the offence ran away but he was fished out and arrested by our men who handed him over to Ijanikin police station for further action,” said Afolabi.
Meanwhile, KanyiDaily had reported that 12 minor primary school pupils of Egan community were arrested by the police in Lagos over cult related activities of a cult group known as Awawa.
The minors numbering 12 were apprehended when they were having a clandestine meeting at a secret place within the School premises their age range is within 6yrs to 16yrs.
