The Queens College student that was sent home after being harassed alongside her mother by the school’s security guard for fixing artificial eyelashes, is said to have worn the eyelashes for a school drama.
KanyiDaily had published a video that shows a mother attacking the security guard of Queen’s college who refused her daughter into the secondary school because she fixed artificial lashes.
In a viral video, the mother who was seen fighting the security guards, alleged that she and her daughter were manhandled by the security men which is what enraged her.
The incident sparked diverse reactions from Nigerians. While a number of users condemned the way the security guards handled the issue, others apportioned blame to the student’s mother for allowing her daughter to wear eyelashes to school.
Well, new details have emerged from the story as the girl has been identified as Nnachi Grace Amarachuwu and she wore the fakes lashes for a school play.
Contrary to reports that the ‘girl must be a dummy for fixing artificial eyelashes to secondary school’, Nnachi Grace Amarachuwu is said to be one of the most brilliant students in Queens College as she has represented the school in different functions and competitions.
She recently won N250,000 in an essay competition that was sponsored by Firstbank as can be seen in the photo below.
According to reports, the security men that stopped the girl and her mom from entering the school premises did not know that Amarachukwu wore the artificial eyelashes for a role in a school play.
Sources claim that the school didn’t even know what was happening, that it was overzealous security and one teacher outside that took laws into their hands.
They said before the school main authority knew what was happening at the gate, it had escalated and her mother had busted out in rage.
We gathered that the case was being resolved by the school authorities who might sanction the staff who put the viral video of the mother attacking the school security officer into circulation.
