Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP), a breakaway faction of Boko Haram terrorist group, has executed a Christian hostage from Plateau State, Mr. Ropvil Daciya Dalep.
Daciya, a 22-year-old student of Biology Education in University of Maiduguri was abducted on Thursday January 9, 2020, near the Borno State capital.
On Tuesday, a distressing video of Mr. Daciya’s execution was shared online by SITE Intelligence Group, an organization that tracks the activities of terrorists around the world.
In the video, the masked executioner, apparently a child terrorist soldier by his voice said the execution was an avengement of some “bloodshed” by Christians in Plateau State.
Standing behind his victim with an English pistol, the executioner chanted some words in Arabic before transiting to Hausa to say:
“In particular, this is one among the Christians from Plateau State.
“We are saying to Christians, we have not forgotten what you have done to our parents and ancestors and we are telling all Christians around the world, we have not forgotten and will not stop.
“We must avenge the bloodshed that has been done like this one…”
Commenting on the video, Rita Katz who is the Director of SITE Intelligence Group, said it is not just another piece to ISIS’ honed-in targeting of Christians of recent years, but also a throwback to its older propaganda from Iraq and Syria of brainwashed children carrying grisly executions.
New. There is NO end to #ISIS' immorality. A child, approx 8, featured in a vid by its Amaq Age executing Nigerian Christian prisoner under its #ISWAP in #Borno. Kid warns Christians: “We won’t stop until we take revenge for all the blood that was spilled” https://t.co/ZkqLfIxhVj pic.twitter.com/2Leqc714TU
