Just when 2020 couldn’t get any worse, tragedy strikes again. In a horrifying development, a soldier in Thailand went on a murderous rampage setting off bombs and gunned down 23 people.
The Thai soldier Sergeant Major Jakrapanth Thomma live-streamed his killing spree on Facebook before Facebook deactivated his account.
The soldier went berserk, stole weapons and ammunitions from his own military base and shot his own commanding officer to death. He then drove a military Humvee and headed to the city centre, where he fired weapons into large crowds and traffic.
Soldier Thomma, whose first victim was his commander, wrote on Facebook that he wanted “revenge”
Thailand Special forces stormed the building after he holed up in a shop with 19 hostages but the maniac used a sniper rifle to take out one commando and injure three others before bombing a gas tank.
Thai army ordered the special forces to retreat and deployed a drone to find his sniping position.
This is a developing story. More details will be updated as they are available to press.
