Some angry Mob has sets two fully loaded Dangote Cement trucks ablaze after allegedly crushing six people to death along the Lagos – Abeokuta Expressway in the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The Federal Road Safety Corps, Sector Commander, Ogun State Command, Clement Oladele, who confirmed the incident, said it occurred around 12:20 pm on Saturday at the old tollgate in Ota.
Oladele said the crash which involved two Dangote trucks conveying bags of cements, a Space Wagon and a Volkswagen passenger bus, led to the death of seven persons.
According to him, the mob protesting the incident had set ablaze the two Dangote trucks suspected to have caused the fatal crash.
The FRSC boss emphasized that the area which the accident occurred, is prone to frequent crashes which had claimed over 40 lives in the last five years.
He also called on motorists, especially the articulated vehicles, to drive cautiously when using that section of the corridor.
He also advised Nigerians to desist from destroying public properties or accident vehicles, irrespective of the level of provocations.
“There are standard ways of reporting and handling grievances to appropriate law enforcement agencies.”
Meanwhile, a Nigerian female music artiste, Funke Gold has cried out for help after a ghastly accident with Dangote Truck that left her with serious injuries and put a dent on her music career.
Despite being promised by Dangote company that all their N5million hospital bill will be paid for, Funke and her crew have all been abandoned to their fate.
Now, the poor girl is demanding for justice as she has been confined to a wheelchair.
